ULC Denver’s sister non-profit the Foundation and Ministry of Limitless Ideas and Free Environments (L.I.F.E.) is the facilitator of events that are used to garner resources and raise monies for the five funds that have been set up to finance their causes.

The three events that are being produced are:

Black Tie Cafes

Description: Events hosted by existing businesses that involve adult participants dressed in formal wear (tuxedos and gowns) as they hobnob with different members of the Denver Area Society. The events involve multiple course meals prepared by well known local chefs using locally sourced food from local farms. Entertainment for these events include unplugged acoustic music, downtempo electronic dance music and ballroom style music that is all performed by local artists. The events will also feature spoken word performances from other local entertainers including poets and comedians, performances by local dance troupes, as well as auctions of artwork by local visual artists, fashion shows by local clothing and jewelry makers and displays of glass and pottery items fashioned by local artisans.

Library Performance Readings

Description: Events hosted on the grounds of Public Libraries that involve participating families (adults and children) enjoying curated presentations about and displays of historically significant literature as they sip cocktails and mocktails accompanied with hors d’oeuvres prepared using locally sourced ingredients. Participants are also treated to readings of books, scripts and other forms of literature by a significantly known local celebrity, athlete or government official figure that is accompanied by an interpretive performance from a variety of potential performers including but not limited to dancers, acrobats, stilters, fire spinners, actors, etc.

Hosting Venues: Local Public Libraries with Pop Up Event Tents

Non-Profit Sundays

Description: Events for adults hosted by locally owned and operated entertainment establishments, clubs or dance halls that involve local performers providing in-kind performances on Sunday afternoons and evenings as a gift to the community with the goal of helping to raise awareness and funds to assist local non-profit causes. Participants are also treated to auctions and raffles of artwork by local visual artists, fashion shows by local clothing and jewelry makers and displays of glass and pottery items fashioned by local artisans.
